  Great non crowded get away in Burnaby. Nice sized urban lake with plenty of water fowl and a nice long march land boardwalk. Plus the live entertainment venue area is idyllic with its lake backdrop and sloping amphitheatre style viewing.

  Burnaby Village Museum is a great little gem of a place to visit, especially at this time of year (Christmas), where you can walk around visiting the various historic buildings (old schoolhouse, farm homes, blacksmith shop and historic stores) that have staff and volunteers in period costume. Great place to take kids. It also has wonderful old historic Carousel (complete with Wurlitzer organ) to take a ride on. Oh and also the entrance price is great too. Its free :)

  Very cute to walk through. The City of Burnaby has all the heritage buildings dressed up for the holiday season. Be sure to grab a map and a list for the scavenger hunt to play along with as you walk through. Be sure to leave enough time to walk through all of the buildings and listen to the interesting historical points given. This is the last weekend to see Santa!

  What a peaceful oasis in the city. Lots of trails, some wildlife and changes with every season. For those that enjoy water, there are non-motorized boats for rent. That’s a great way to spend a summer afternoon.

  Nice place if you want to escape from the city life and Deer lake park located inside the heart of Burnaby city so it’s not far from your home if you located in Burnaby. I like the pathway that shown in my photos the pathway protect the nature and keep you clean. Its not a big park but the lake view is really nice and you can set down and meditate.
