This place could be awesome and for the most part it's a good library. I go here everyday to work on my websites and photography. Since the old security guard has left the library's environment has slipped extremely badly. I have also noticed on pretty much every day the security guards spend a lot of time talking to each other I'm not sure how this can enable them to do thier job properly. Often there will be people sleeping in the library but the security seems to be hit and miss for who they pic on.

I'm unsure if public money is being well spent here , this doesn't seem like a good use of it.

However, there are lack of electric outlets on the upper floor. So 4/5 stars.

They also have a big multilingual section, so you can take your friends from abroad when they're missing their countries =]

I mean hassling someone for eating an apple while someone is eating a bowl of soup a few feet away.

Very convenient location, close to the station and the mall. It has a big yard that people often lay down & get a tan in summer or read/take a nap between spring and fall.

Since the change in staff in the security side of things I'm going to say no.

I usually go here to study after class and on the weekend. It's a pretty quite place most of the time (only upstairs, because downstairs has an area for kids).

Lack of outlets in the second floor, bad wifi in some areas, and limited amount of space.

The staff is helpful. I needed to find some old books for class and the staff was very friendly in asking and helping me with it.

I don't see the value here . I don't see it at all. On other occasions where there has been actual need for security they've been nowhere to be found. The front door is closed and a small side door is currently being used for its entrance. I am not sure why this is being a permitted as in the case of a emergency the door needs to work. There's really no excuse for this one . I mean the city of Burnaby runs at a fairly large surplus spend some money on better management.

I like the windows on the upper floor; you can both studying and taking a break just by looking out.
