  A very prickly elderly woman helped me with my application. Once this woman found out I was a first time rider getting insurance for the first time, her mood instantly changed from being prickly, to down right rude.

  I do not believe that I have ever been told to affix my ICBC decal to my license plate because this is something that any driver and purchaser of ICBC insurance would know. If the customer stated "This is my first time buying this insurance" or asked a question about the insurance, the staff would mention "put the decal on your plate and be sure not to lose the decal" but if customer doesn't communicate, insurance staff cannot be mind-readers and state what is quite an obvious need to affix the decal.

  So something about her felt weird. So I instantly called another insurance place that dealt with Beacon and they phoned in for me. They called me back and said that the lady I had dealt with never actually submitted my application! I couldn't believe it.

  I came back to complain the agent why he did not remind me to put the decal on as part of their training, but the manager did not even accept it was their responsibility!!! I'm so frustrated as all previous ICBC agents reminded me to do so.

  I have been doing business at Johnston Meier Insurance at the Lougheed branch for years, purchasing car insurance, home insurance, travel insurance and Special Liability insurance. The staff are all very professional and knowledgeable, both the long-time employees as well as the newer staff. Service is as quick as it can be and appropriately friendly.

  So when I finished with her she said she'd know in about a day if I was approved. So after two days I called her back and she said "No I haven't heard anything, you were probably denied" -rude.

  Went in for a simple renewal of my truck insurance, employee looked like he'd rather be somewhere else. Tried to photocopy private documents without my permission and got uppity when I said "no those are private" and refused to help. The other one stars are well deserved. I went to a different agency and they said that there was no need to photocopy my private info.
