Had almost everything you could want aside from a few high-high-end boutiques.

Mind you, if you are interested in shopping, don't prefer the natural scenery and outdoor activities that are abundant in Vancouver, then you'll want to spend a day here. I'll change my score to a 4. It's a well managed mall and so if this is how you prefer to spend your time, and I'm Asian so I know how consumerism is part of our way of life - then come to this mall if it's on your travel route. Otherwise, I would recommend shopping downtown at the open air storefronts. There are a few indoor malls available for your climate controlled convenience downtown as well.

I come here at least once every time I travel to Vancouver. All my visits were never a dissappointment. Includes many stores that will spark your curiosity. A decent food court with a good variety of foods to offer and exceptional parking capacity (best if you go underground, can be a little tricky finding a spot at ground level) If you seek limitless entertainment or a place to hangout and chill with friends/family this is a location to consider experiencing.

It's a mall. There's nothing overly remarkable about it, besides the fact that it's huge. It doesn't have an amusement park like the West Edmonton Mall, it's not in the middle of the downtown of a big city like Pacific Centre or the Eaton Center in Toronto. It's a mall, in the burbs. It does have a good selection of mall stuff, like groceries and clothing stores and a big food court. Access is pretty okay, Skytrain and bus connections, lots of parking. Whatever else, you definitely can't fault it for taking being a mall very seriously.

Edit: Nov 2017 - Metrotown is a great and safe place to bring your child(ren) for entertainment and shopping.

Beautiful fountains and art throughout the mall with a nice modern style to it.

I always have my lunch here. The escalators to go up to the food court are always always not working. Sometimes for months. Terrible. If I have other places to go I will definitely come here less often. No vegan foods here at the food court too. You can order something no meat but that will even limit your choices here.

Although I do come here from time to time, I would put this low on the list of things you can do while visiting Vancouver. It's not that I don't appreciate this mall, because it's our biggest, best all around mall with theatre, several food courts, ample free covered and open air parking, etc etc... But it's going to take up a whole day of your trip unless you're the type who marches through a shopping centre without stopping.

Incredible mall with a hue amount of variety in stores and food options. Very large mall that may be easy to get lost in if you don’t know where you’re going.
